Abstract
This paper describes the issue of how the implementation of automated outage management systems (OMS) can influence the accuracy of reliability indices. Approaches for analyzing the influence of the OMS implementation on the accuracy of reported reliability indices are described. An example is provided of a systematic evaluation of reliability indices calculation before and after implementation of an automated system.
