In order to eliminate these problems, this paper presents an effective control scheme to remove input current harmonics of battery charger by controlling the current in phase with fundamental component of the grid voltage. The proposed control scheme not only achieves near-unity input power factor but also eliminates current harmonics in the battery charger regardless of the grid voltage disturbance.
