Abstract
As one of the core components of ERCOT IT infrastructure for the upcoming Texas Nodal Power Market, Energy Management System plays a critical role in maintaining grid reliability and security. The EMS functions also play important roles in aiding Market Management System in Day-Ahead Market, Reliability Unit Commitment and Security Constraint Economic Dispatch, and providing data to Market Information System for system information posting and to Commercial System for market settlement.
