Abstract
This paper deals with the current requirements for high-power high-voltage power supplies to be operated within state-of-the-art high-tech industrial plants and other equipment items. The proposed study describes the basic available approaches to the construction of high-voltage power supplies and highlights their advantages and disadvantages. The paper examines a new approach to the construction of high-voltage power supplies with energy transfer from the input to the output parts using a current loop. This paper also deals with the control system and mathematical model of a high-voltage power supply that has an output voltage of 4 kV. The simulation results confirmed the efficiency of the proposed approach.
