Abstract

This study has two objectives: the design of a sequential module based on Grafcet formalism to control various vehicle engine operating modes and the investigation of electronic throttle controllers' performances when a jump from one mode to another appears. The so-called backstepping technique is used in the synthesis of control law and the proof of stability based on Lyapunov approach is given. The illustrated simulation results show the validity and efficiency of the proposed hierarchical control strategy.
