Abstract

In this paper, a novel fingerprinting architecture called NoFiA is proposed to protect relational data in database systems from illegal duplications and redistribution. NoFiA has three features: 1) It is able to embed different fingerprints according to the differences of users. 2) Through this architecture, the fingerprinting process doesn't modify the original data. 3) It is easy to manage the parameters of fingerprinting. A prototype of this architecture has been realized. A lot of experiments have been made to validate the usability of NoFiA.
