Abstract

In this paper a compact radiation pattern configurable microstrip line fed antenna array is proposed by utilizing one PIN diode. The PIN diode switch is designed on the fed line of the microstrip antenna array, By changing of the switch can operate radiation pattern. By configuring the PIN diode switch on or off state, the corresponding array element can be activated or padlocked. then, the main lobe width of the radiation patterns of the array are 45° and 60°, respectively.
