Abstract
Compared with infrared and visible light imaging, passive millimeter-wave (PMMW) imaging has many excellent characteristics, such as better penetration and concealment. Therefore, PMMW imaging has the development potential in personnel security inspection. In recent years, some researchers have explored polarization imaging methods to improve system performance. Based on the measured data of multi-polarization imaging, this paper analyzes the detection performance of concealed objects in different polarization images. Furthermore, we quantitatively compare the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and target contrast ratios of different polarization modes, Stokes parameters and the degree of linear polarization (DOLP). The results show that reasonable selection and fusion of polarization is conducive to giving full play to the advantages of polarization imaging.
