The work evaluated the existing methods to solve this problem. A new method to solve this problem is proposed, it being based on consecutive approximation transformations. The peculiarity of the method, in comparison with its analogues, is a more complete use of the information base of the imitation model. The method of setting the response characteristics by this approach is described. Analytical conditions of operation are formulated for the proposed method and an assessment of the possibility of its application in various forms of the resulting characteristic is made. The speed of the proposed method and the traditional one is estimated. The sensitivity of each method is also evaluated. Quantitative and qualitative indicators characterizing each of the methods are presented. Abstract
The article deals with the problem to set the response characteristics of relay protection. The work evaluated the existing methods to solve this problem. A new method to solve this problem is proposed, it being based on consecutive approximation transformations.
