Niñez, trabajo doméstico y de cuidados: una aproximación cuantitativa en sectores urbanos de Argentina.

Abstract

This article analyzes the domestic and care work carried out by children from urban areas of Argentina. It analyzes the types of participation that they carry out and the differences that appear based on age, gender and social class. It is based on a quantitative approach and proposes that even though – as the feminist studies highlight – the adult women are the ones who perform most of these tasks, children also contribute to activities that make daily reproduction possible. The work provides empirical evidence that shows the significant role that these actors play in the material reproduction of households
