Abstract
The influence of technological operations on the optical properties of YAG crystals grown from melt using Mo crucibles is evaluated and compared to YAG grown from Ir crucibles. It is shown that optimization of post-growth annealing procedure of YAG grown in Mo crucible provides the optical transmission comparable to the counterpart grown from Ir crucible. The features of absorption spectra of the as-grown (AsG) YAG crystals, grown from Mo crucible are analyzed and compared to the literature.
