By analyzing the extracted information, the spatial distribution characteristics of the main surface objects were explored and the impacts of which on the ecological environment were studied. This study indicated that the area of the impervious surface in Erhai Lake basin was increasing year by year, but the water quality there was decreasing in recent years.
