NEOEUGENIA E BIOÉTICA: LIMITES ÉTICOS DA MANIPULAÇÃO EMBRIONÁRIA HUMANA COM FINS DE MELHORAMENTO

Abstract

: The advance of genetic engineering made possible the manipulation of the embryo, which gives rise to the emergence of a new eugenics, called neoeugenics, which proposes to promote human improvement within an individual sphere, without state coerciveness. In fact, a bioethical reflection begins, seeking to reach a conclusion about whether the embryo, in the context of human improvement, must have its dignity guaranteed and, therefore, not be a victim of objectification. Thus, the proposed study adopts a qualitative methodology and uses as works and scientific articles focused on bioethics.
