Abstract
This paper presents a new method for calculating the current of closed transition in distribution networks. The methodology used starts by applying the Thevenin equivalent circuit in combination with power flow calculation for calculating the current value and then, the calculated value of current can help in choosing the timing of the closed transition operation. Next, global sensitivity analysis guarantees that the calculated value of the current is not vulnerable to any measurement errors. The proposed method is validated using the case study in Beijing. The validation test case has shown robustness and good numerical accuracy on low-voltage distribution networks.
