Abstract
The convection-diffusion kinetics at the channel electrode may be successfully simulated using the alternating direction implicit (ADI) method. We used an irregular grid in all co-ordinates (x, y and t) inorder to obtain efficient results near the electrode surface and at the start of the electrolysis. Calculated currents for each approach (irregular and uniform grid) were compared to using limited current.
