Methodology. The study is focused on some linguistic features of Spanish and Latin American jour-nalism. The methodology of this study is based on the comparative analysis and translation techniques. All the quotes in Spanish and English have been translated into Russian. Results. We have chosen one of the most comprehensive definitions of the term. The article concludes that there is a trend towards consistent terminology in modern international journalism. Abstract
Aim of this article is to perform a comparative analysis of approaches to determining the journalistic genre in terms of linguistic studies. Methodology.
