The article discusses genre and linguistic-stylistic features of prose poems by two distinguished writers – German language authors R. M. Rilke and E. M. Remarque. The comparative analysis revealed main characteristics of these works, including lack of metro-rhythmic patterns, a subjective description of reality, laconic expressions, excessive expressiveness, the abundance of figurative and stylistic means in a small text-space. The theoretical significance of the work is determined by the introduction into the scientific circulation of unpublished works by E. M. Remarque, a contribution to the development of methodology for comparing works by different authors. Practical significance lies in the possible use of these materials in courses on the history of literature, linguostylistic text analysis, and stylistics of the German language.

The article presents the author’s semantic classification of the phrasal verbs with figurative potential. The classification is based on the interaction between meanings of the verb and the preposition. Nine semantic groups are distinguished. Most phrasal verbs with figurative potential can be referred to the group of verbs denoting a person’s state (mental, emotional or physical). As the study shows the meaning of the verbal component makes the greatest impact on the meaning of the phrasal verb. The methods used in the study are the analysis of the semantic structure of a lexical unit according to dictionary definitions, quantitative analysis, comparative analysis. The article contributes to the semantic typology of phrasal verbs of the English language, adds to the system of knowledge about the phraseology of the English language.

. This article is devoted to the study of the term formation system in the economic field. The author identifies and describes the most productive modern methods and models for the economic terminology formation on the basis of analysis of extensive language material. In this research the author has used component analysis based on vocabulary definitions, field and descriptive methods, as well as elements of quantitative analysis. As a result, the description of a holistic multi-level derivation system of professional terminological vocabulary of the financial and economic field is proposed. The main findings of the study can be used in a comprehensive analysis of ways to form economic terms, applied in the description of other terminological areas, as well as in the compilation of dictionaries and textbooks on economic issues.
