Abstract

The unreasonable building layout will worsen the wind environment at the pedestrian height around the building. The main objective of this paper is that using ANSYS Fluent software to study the impact of space corridors on pedestrian-level wind environment around buildings and give a reasonable space corridor layout position. In this paper, the calculation model was set up according to the detailed rules of green building evaluation standard to ensure the validity of CFD simulation. Based on the calculation results, the variation laws of different space corridor arrangements on the average wind speed amplification coefficient at pedestrian height in 3 evaluation areas were discussed. It is concluded that the layout of the space corridor in the middle of the buildings which is case-3 is beneficial to the pedestrian wind environment in the street valley of the buildings.
