Abstract

This paper presents an economic evaluation using different battery types for energy storage system in AC/DC microgrid system. The microgrid system is defined by using Homer program. The Three types of battery for energy storage technology are selected to analyze for the optimal Net Present Cost (NPC). The NPC is defined to the objective function from the purpose. The simulation results showed that the Redox flow battery is the optimal condition from the purpose of the total system cost of 1,084,515.99 Baht. Therefore, the microgrid can be served the energy to the electrical load at the optimal condition.
