The operation principle of main kinds of semiconductor power devices, their technical parameters, and an effect on an electrical network are investigated. The concept of a digital control system for energy infrastructure operation is proposed. Structure, functions, and operation algorithms of such kind of digital control system are considered. A computer model of an electric power system consisting of several power electronics devices is realized in MATLAB Simulink. Abstract
