Abstract
Enterprise modeling languages provide abstractions of an enterprise in terms of conceptual models. This position paper argues that Requirements Engineering (RE) is a first class citizen for the design of enterprise modeling languages. We introduce a selection of requirements engineering techniques, and discuss how these can complement "technical" efforts in language design.
