Abstract
We present the design and simulation of low loss 1 × 64 Y-branch optical splitter having the symmetric splitting ratio and small footprint. This was reached by optimizing the used waveguide structure that eliminates the presence of the first mode, causing the asymmetric splitting ratio of the split power over all the output waveguides.
