The insights gained from the research are used to assist the strategic planning of technological development paths and their possible application in the Thai coffee industry. Abstract

The technological capability of the coffee industry in Thailand is limited. Coffee manufacturers operate in a red ocean where competition is focused around cost and not differentiation. This paper discusses the insights gained from a study of patents related to coffee processing technologies.
