Abstract
Academic tutoring is a strategy that has been used by universities around the world to provide support to students who are pursing undergraduate degrees and require additional help in order to master certain courses which contain challenging topics. We present a detailed analysis, using the process analysis methodology, of an academic tutoring process, and analyze, from different perspectives, how it is currently implemented. This analysis sheds light on opportunities for change that, when implemented, have the potential for reaching an increasing number of students and positively impacting their performance.
