Abstract

Spanish women are a minority in careers and studies related with STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The reasons for this gender gap are multiple and include the lack of female role models in these disciplines. In this communication, we show different activities to improve this situation, providing female references to university students. These activities were developed in the virtual classroom of subjects related with Physics, showing that we can use this virtual environment to transform the androcentric view of science and engineering.
