The extent of its range from the north-east to the south-west is 370 km. All locations of S. obscura are confined to the coastal zone of Sikhote-Alin. Silene obscura grows on seaside cliffs and stony screes, it refers to xeromesophytes, obligate petrophytes. Abstract
