The present investigation is carried out in a public university in the State of Tabasco, Mexico with the objective of analyzing the procedures that contribute to strengthening the management in the direction of the educational institution from a strategic approach. In it, are integrated: analysis of the environment and internal of the University taking into account processes and quality standards in higher education themselves that have been determined in the university environment. The methodology used was descriptive of documentary type and the systematic analysis of information obtained by evaluation matrices in the corresponding areas. Abstract

Educational organizations constantly face changes that must be faced strategically to achieve their objectives and remain competitive, it is the great importance that strategic management represents in organizations, since it allows better decisions to be made. The present investigation is carried out in a public university in the State of Tabasco, Mexico with the objective of analyzing the procedures that contribute to strengthening the management in the direction of the educational institution from a strategic approach.
