Indikation und Ergebnisse der Pleuradekortikation

Abstract

The indication for the decortication is to liberate the lung from pleural scarring with limitation of the lung action, at same time elimination from chronic pleural processuses, of different etiology. The results are very satisfactory: Till now no recurrence has been observed. By most patients the lung action has improved. The earlier the decortication is carried out, the better are the results.
