Abstract
Android multimedia environment is extended with support for adaptive transport protocols, since by default it cannot play video content which is adapted in real time to different data bit rates. Paper describes one solution of Android multimedia software extension for playback and control of adaptive bit rate transport streams, in order to play live transport streams.
