Abstract
Subcutaneous abscesses in neonates are mainly caused by local infections with indwelling intravascular catheters. Candida albicans is a pathogen that is rarely associated with subcutaneous abscesses. In the present case, the patient was delivered vaginally after premature rupture of membranes for 3 weeks.
