To this end, this study utilized the seventh year data from the first wave of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS 2010), and analyzed a total of 2,001 middle school students, and found the following results: First, parenting attitudes had a significant positive effect on sense of community and school adjustment, but no statistically significant effect on multicultural acceptance. Second, parenting attitudes had an effect on multicultural acceptance through the mediation of sense of community. Third, parenting attitudes had an effect on multicultural acceptance through the mediation of school adjustment. However, it was statistically significant for boys, but not for girls. Fourth, when we examine the serial mediation of community and school adjustment on parenting attitudes and multicultural acceptance, we find a statistically significant positive effect for boys, but not for girls. Abstract
