Abstract
The research was conducted to examine the knowledge and attitude of young people towards credit. The total sample of respondents is 77 young people, and the survey was conducted with the help of a structured online questionnaire among the student population. The results indicate the importance of saving, but also the lack of practice among the surveyed population. There is room for improving knowledge related to loans and creditworthiness as well as more complex financial terms. A lack of knowledge about investments in securities and investment funds was observed. The limitations of this research can be seen in the smaller sample, but also the sample of the student population. Recommendations for further research are to expand the sample to the entire population and not only to highly educated young people with an economic orientation and to use a larger sample for more significant statistical confirmation.
