From the Editor's Desk

Abstract

Issue 100.1 of Italica marks the beginning of my second year of editorship. It includes a collection of articles that fosters discussion on diverse and significant areas within the field of Italian studies such as literature, media, linguistics, pedagogy, and culture. The special focus of this issue is the Shoah. We are proud to publish here an article on three important writers, Edith Bruck, Liana Milly and Giuliana Tedeschi, and an interview with the director of the Kennesaw State University Museum of History and Holocaust Education, alongside an instructional activity of the KSU Italian department. A series of nine reviews concludes the issue.As usual, I would like to extend my thanks to the journal's associate editors, book and media review editors, editorial board, the anonymous and gracious peer reviewers, and our patient readers. I invite you all to continue to submit (and to encourage to submit) to Italica works that will further dialogue, instruction, and research.
