Abstract
Advancements in digital technologies have altered the way knowledge is captured, catalogued, indexed, accessed, and consumed in institutions across the world. Digital humanities have not only empowered the faculty members and researchers in the humanities departments, it has also entrusted with the librarians’ additional responsibilities of curating and cataloguing knowledge in their libraries and enabling humanistic researches in the field. Such curating, indexing, and consumption poses significant intellectual property right (IPR) issues that librarians have to manage. This article explores the IPR issues associated with the digital humanities that librarians should specifically address as part of their activities.
