NEW RUSSIAN NEWSPAPER VOCABULARY IN THE EXPLANATORY DICTIONARY OF RUSSIAN LANGUAGE EDITED BY D. USHAKOV AND IN THE RUSSIAN NATIONAL CORPUS: PHENOMENON OF SCIENTIFIC INTUITION

Abstract

Статья посвящена анализу одного из новаторских лексикографических решений Д. Н. Ушакова – включению в первый том «Толкового словаря русского языка» (1935) слов, сопровождаемых пометами «новое» и «газетное». Рассматривается отражение данных лексем в других толковых словарях и Национальном корпусе русского языка, в частности – в газетном подкорпусе. Установлено, что часть новых газетизмов закрепилась в русском языке и нашла применение в текстах средств массовой информации. При этом проблема словарной фиксации газетизмов и их противопоставления другим лексическим пластам не нашла решения в русской лексикографии и стилистике, что позволяет говорить об уникальности и высокой научной ценности ТСУ. The article is devoted to the analysis of one of D. Ushakov's innovative lexicographic solutions – the inclusion of words accompanied by the marks «new» and «newspaper» in the first volume of the Explanatory Dictionary of Russian Language (1935). The author considers reflection of these lexemes in other explanatory dictionaries and in the Russian National Corpus, in particular in the newspaper subcorpus, and establishes that some of the new newspaper words have become entrenched in Russian language and found application in mass media texts. At the same time, the problem of dictionary fixation of newspaper vocabulary and its opposition to other lexical layers has not found a solution in Russian lexicography and stylistics, which allows us to speak about the uniqueness and high scientific value of the the Explanatory Dictionary of Russian Language edited by D. Ushakov.
