THE SPECIFIC USE OF THE UNCONVENTIONAL APOLOGY FORMULA “NO OFFENSE”

Abstract

В статье представлено описание использования формулы «без обид» в ситуации причинения ущерба собеседнику. Для этого был сформирован корпус высказываний, который включает в себя 161 случай употребления выражения. Мы выполнили разметку данных, в которой учитывались следующие параметры: тип извинений по отношению к ущербу, проспективная/ретроспективная направленность извинения, статус собеседников, а также контекст употребления этикетной формулы. В результате была выявлена специфика употребления выражения «без обид» как инструмента гармонизации интернет-коммуникации, а также средства предупреждения и сглаживания потенциальных коммуникативных сбоев между участниками общения. The article presents an analysis of the functioning of the phrase “no offense” in situations of causing harm to the interlocutor. For this purpose, a corpus of statements was compiled, which included 161 examples of the use of this expression. We marked the data, which included the following parameters: type of apology in relation to harm, prospective or retrospective direction of the apology, status of interlocutors, and context of the use of the etiquette formula. As a result, we identified the specific use of the expression “no offense” as a tool for harmonizing internet communication, as well as a means of preventing and smoothing potential communicative disruptions between participants.
