Abstract
The article presents a technology for the formation of research skills in students, which represents a new way of constructing, providing and acquiring the cognitive content of the school subject “Man and Nature” in primary education. The algorithm for the formation of research skills in students corresponds to the algorithm of the research activity and the sequence of the components of its structure, i.e. the technology is built in accordance with the approach to the accumulation of scientific knowledge, together with the acquiring of the activities accompanying a scientific study: planning, preparation and conduct of the study, analysis, synthesis and summary of the results, conclusions.
