Abstract
The subject of terrorism and counterterrorism has gained more and more space within studies on International Security and International Relations. The Central Asia, which already suffered from threats from non-state actors much earlier than Western countries, has always proved to be strategic for the formulation of security policies. The main goal of this article is to discuss the problem of terrorism from the perspective of the main military powers in Asia (Russia, China, India and Pakistan) and also which counterterrorism actions were adopted by these countries within an international context in which, increasingly, the spheres of national and international security have become intertwined and intimately connected.
