Abstract

The high production of CO2 from Brazilian pre-salt reservoirs requires research on CO2 interactions with carbonate reservoirs for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) or CO2 trapping. This interaction causes reactive phenomena that are not fully understood. Experimental tests on carbonate facies are crucial for understanding reactions and their impact on reservoir characteristics.
