AnP give a single anodic peak in buffer solutions of (pH 3.5 - 9.5).AnP is oxidized in a diffusion-controlled process from a phosphate buffer solution, pH 7.The variation given by AnP through its current signals was monitored in the existance of DNA by GCE using different voltammetric techniques. Diffusion coefficient of free AnP was 3.7×10 -6 and 2.8×10 -7 cm 2 s -1 for the AnP-DNA .The binding constant was calculated to be 1.5×10 5 and 1.1×10 5 M -1 using DPV and UV / vis Spectroscopy. AnP binds to DNA primarily by electrostatic interaction with a contribution from intercalation.
