The effects of micron dot texture and lubricating medium on the tribological properties of 42CrMo metal and acrylonitrile–butadiene rubber mating surfaces were studied by theoretical analysis and tribological tests. The friction coefficient, wear amount, and rubber wear morphology were used as the measurement indexes of drag reduction, wear resistance, and wear degree, respectively. Abstract
