Abstract

В 2023 г. исполнилось 165 лет с основания российского императорского консульства в Иерусалиме, действовавшего с 1858 по 1914 гг. Юбилейная дата – хороший повод ознакомиться с хранящимся в Национальной библиотеке Израиля фотоальбомом консульства, который вели его сотрудники. По его материалам Посольство России в Израиле подготовило онлайн-выставку «Российское императорское генеральное консульство в Иерусалиме в лицах. К 165-летию со дня основания» (https://www.yakovlev-jerusalem.ru/1858-1914). Источник содержит студийные портреты дипломатического и административного персонала консульства (с 1891 г. — генерального консульства), членов их семей, а также групповые фотографии представителей «Русской Палестины» и даже любительские снимки. Большинство фотоматериалов публикуются и описываются впервые. In 2023 we mark 165 years since the founding of the Russian Imperial Consulate in Jerusalem, which operated from 1858 to 1914. The anniversary date is a good occasion to get acquainted with the photo album of the Consulate deposited in the National Library of Israel, which was kept by its employees. Based on its materials, the Russian Embassy in Israel prepared an online exhibition “Faces of the Russian Imperial Consulate General in Jerusalem. To the 165th anniversary of its founding" (https://www.yakovlev-jerusalem.ru/1858-1914). The source contains studio portraits of the diplomatic and administrative staff of the Consulate (since 1891 - the Consulate General), members of their families, as well as group photographs of representatives of “Russian Palestine” and even amateur photographs. Most of the photographic materials are published and described for the first time.
