The study performs the effect of parameters on the reaction yield. 91.2% in (H2O2/CH3COOH/C=C) molar ratio of 4.5/1.5/1.0, the temperature of 50 oC, and 3 hours reaction time. The yield of the ring-opening reaction of epoxy with acetic anhydride reached at 90.2% in (acetic anhydride/epoxy) molar ratio of 1.5/1.0, the temperature of 95 oC, and 4.5 hours reaction time. The main functional groups of catfish oil starting material, epoxy catfish oil, and polyester catfish oil final product were identified by FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectral analysis methods.
