Abstract
The need to introduce the course “Fundamentals of Russian Statehood” into the curricula of all areas of study at universities poses a number of tasks for the pedagogical community. They are related to the choice of methodological foundations, work on the content and the choice of methods and means of teaching. The article presents a model for the formation of a student’s spiritual self-determination, which is one of the goals of the course, based on psychological mechanisms of personality development: reflection, personalization and stereotyping.
