Abstract
The need to improve testing methods for machines for harvesting hay and straw and the relevance of this research are substantiated; the main regulatory documents as to testing of equipment of this type are shown; a draft of the interstate standard being developed for testing methods for these machines and a program for processing test results in accordance with the new regulatory document are presented.
