Abstract
Migration is a global phenomenon that impacts penitentiary centers like CERESOFE in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico. This essay examines the ethical, legal, and social implications of female migration; at this center, 35% of the 156 incarcerated women are migrants. Migration theories help understand their motives.
