In this study, the use of a natural (guar gum) super disintegrating agent increases the rate of dissolution as well as length of disintegration of fast-dissolving tablets. In vitro drug release of 96% is demonstrated in 6 minutes with a disintegrating efficiency of 27 seconds for Nifedipine FDTs (guar gum). Abstract
