Abstract
Despite medical and invasive advancements, cardiovascular mortality attributable to ischemic heart disease, including acute coronary syndrome (ACS), persists at a substantial level. Clinical guidelines have been issued by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association to support clinicians in making appropriate decisions and improving the prognosis of ACS patients.
