Investigating the sustainability of these initiatives, the study delves into the impact of foreign assistance on shaping robust MIL frameworks within the unique socio-cultural contexts of the three Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. By analyzing specific aid programs, policy implications, and local responses, the article aims to contribute valuable insights into the ongoing discourse on enhancing media literacy in transitional societies. Abstract

This article explores the role, sustainability, and forms of foreign aid in the field of media and information literacy (MIL) in Central Asian countries. MIL plays a crucial role in developing digital skills and media literacy in an era dominated by information overload and disinformation.
