Abstract

Pharmacists are increasingly working in UK general practices, presenting an opportunity for practice teams to benefit from their additional professional skills and comprehensive knowledge of medicines. This article examines how pharmacists are helping to reduce inappropriate and inequitable prescribing in general practice and suggests ways in which their contribution can be optimised.
